Two years ago, on what began as an ordinary August evening, the Kirklands’ lives were torn apart in an instant. A drunk driver barreled through their White Settlement home, killing their daughter Katey and leaving her father Kevin with life-threatening injuries.

The crash shattered their world, leaving Amy to grapple with the unbearable loss of her only child and the uncertainty of her husband’s survival.

Kevin’s recovery required relearning how to walk, talk, and live again, supported by months of therapy and Amy’s strength.
